New set of Tyres for SX4 - 2008 1.9 Diesel.

currently the car is fitted with 205/60/16s

I would like to fit larger AT tyres but how big can I go without lifting of changing anything?

It has been suggested I might be able to first 215/65/16. I'm wondering if there is enough clearance

does anyone have first hand experience of fitting larger off road tyres to a standard vehicle

    Be glad of any advice.

OK...I just tried a 215 / 65 Groodrich lookalike on the front and although it looks great, it seems likely to RIP out the plastic interior of the wheel arches.

So this brings me to the next question, how about a lift. I see space lift kits on Amazon....anyone tried one?

I'll ask a similar question in the suspension section

I think with a simple spring buffer that gives you 2. 5cm of height, there will be no rubbing. I have 215 65 16 with spring buffers and there is no rubbing at all.
    Hope I helped you
