Long needed update. alternator swap did not fix the noise. dropped the pan. found this

    and this

Oil starvation. did an oil change a week after i bought it, then at 3000 miles later only had a quart in it. #4 connecting rod didnt like that. I have ran it over 3000 miles after. everything else ran fine other than the rod knock at higher rpms. hoping it just needs a bearing replacement. crank pin is in spec. the picture below looks worse than it is. it is very smooth.

Sure enough the rod bearings were bad, and after replacement the noise went away. Just installed my new ADDCO RSB to compliment my coilovers and the car handles extremely well. I havent had enough miles on the coilovers without the bar but the improvement over stock with the combo is amazing. Fitment is great, and for the $160 I spent it is well worth it.

Will post pictures of the light pattern after I get it to where I like it. very bright and a huge upgrade from the stock lights, which sucked. Tint guy comes tomorrow, then its time to actually start doing turbo stuff. lol. Now that its fall I wont be so dependent on the AC, my x90 is my other daily which has no AC

Any progress with the turbo kit?

Glad to see you hopefully caught the bearings soon enough!

Not much lately. car is in storage because of the salt up north. I plan to start working on it again in march as the snow melts away. First order of business would be putting 2 Optima 6v agm batteries in the trunk in series in place of where the audio capacitor I installed is. Once that is moved I will mount and wire in the piggyback next to the OEM ECU. Thank you for your interest!
