    Man I hope my LCA's don't have giant cracks in them, because I inspected them when I had the struts out. But I bet you couldn't see cracks in the outer rubber until you remove them.

    I could see some cracking before I removed, but I didn't expect to see more than 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep cracks in vertical pivot bushings.
    If your Sx4 goes creak-crack over speed bumps at slow speeds, vertical pivot bushing is most likely the culprit.
