All except the flywheel. The clutch disc is a 6 puck kevlar. Along with a matching pressure plate, slave cylinder and pilot bearing. It takes about 350-400 lbs of beating. I didn't have to upgrade the master cylinder or fork.

Also have a potential fit for a torsen front limited slip. I'm waiting on fitment details.

    Stay tuned!

Decent #'s Samus. Question...................how are you running the transfer case? Will it be like factory or do you have a way to somehow have it @ 50% torque split at all times?

You are only dynoing right now with torque to the front wheels, will you be dynoing with AWD working to see what it will make when all 4 wheels are putting power down?

    Hey Tony,

I will be running it awd all the time in auto mode and will only run this car during the summer on the track.

The dyno shop only had two rollers therefore, the driveshaft had to come out.

Notice how the car pulls on one side. That means there is a slight lost in power to the passenger side wheel to spin the tcase.

To remedy that, I've been in contact with Tenaci in Sweden for a torsen front diff. Approx 1200 CAD. I'm still waiting on fitment confirmation.

It cost 565 CAD which is very decent for a kit like that

I couldn't resist testing this car in heavy snow conditions.... my God... so much fun

I deleted the abs, traction control, rewired the throttle directly with the haltech so no more throttle lag.

Vvt and cam sensor are now managed by haltech.

    Even got antilag

Flushed the old 5w30 oil out to put in some quality 5w40.

Clutch still needs some breaking in but this will have to wait until spring.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a high milleage j20b motor and will rebuild and improve the internals....

In the meantime I have lots of esthetic mods to finish up along with aerodynamics (dibond rear diffuser, dibond brake cooling ducts fixed on the control arms etc)

The current injectors (410cc) are way too small... I had adapted 565cc sti injectors but that is also not enough. Found some IDX1050cc injectors that seem like a perfect fit for the power level I'm looking for.

Braking is a big issue... therefore I'm ditching the oem front brake and installing Ceika 4 pots.

More to come, stay tuned 😉

Always interesting following someone who is still into heavily modding the SX4.

I wanted more support up front so I fabricated torque damper chassis braces. These fit nicely and are tucked away behind the oem splash guards.

New control arms will be going in. Both bushings will be replaced by polyurethane ones for more stiffness.

I'm also fabricating front brake cooling ducts (made out of dibond) that will be fixed to those brackets on the control arms. These will scoop cold air onto the front brakes.

Rear engine mount will be modified with a 85a polyurethane insert.
