Renault Captur should be officially presented in March this year. These are the first pics. Looks nice to me. Dimensions very close to SX4.
Nice ground clearance, nice curves, roof color different from the body, nice rims... dashboard is too fuzzy for my taste. But hey, it's a French car and they haven't produced two look-alike dashboards ever. :)

Not my style at all and I believe it's FWD only.

Looks quite Nissanish, too.

Well, Renault-Nissan, you know. Maybe Nissan will provide some AWD too?

I don't think I want a Renault...there is absolutely no support in NA...
I had a Nissan before/..quality is bad....even today's Nissan.

Too many lumps. It's not a clean design like the SX4. Looks like a Suzuki that has been rolled.

Their cars are underrated mechanically. And the Mirage fighter jet is good. I was only criticizing the styling, or lack thereof.

The bigger renaults like the laguna-model got a really bad reputation in holland. Its the car with the most problems in electric as well in mecanical ways. The new model must be a bit better but still no one buys one overhere.I worked with several french chefs ,and they don t buy frech cars because they think the quality is bad.For all other stuff they always prefer french things so there must be something then?
On the other side,i still like some off the french cars like the old ds and sm off citroen and the new ds-series don t look bad either. The peugeot 205 gti 1.9 is also a fun car to drive.

We never got anything smaller than a 405 here. I love the 205 Cabrio. I know the gaudy American cars of the 1950's have a following there. Actually the '49 thru '54 American cars were built well and handled well. Cadillac ran a stock '51 in the Grand Prix. Yes, THE Grand Prix, and it did OK. Americans wanted garish boats with styling like a Wurlitzer juke box and smaller wheels, built as sloppy as they could build them and still run. Americans are not very sophisticated. Suzuki builds great cars but could not sell them here.

The suzuki s sell well overhere,as most japanese and korean brands do.Good quality for smaller prices .(its dutch he:hi:)American cars don t do to well overhere accept the voyager mini vans till about 5 yeard ago.And off course the german cars. They sell really good ,and the prices are really high( much higher than in the states even).French cars go up and down ,most people like how they look, but get diapointed about the quality and than buy another brand the next time. After a couple off years some try again.

Never liked French cars for their soft suspension. Also they used to be very complicated mechanically and difficult to maintain and repair. Don't know if it's the same today.
Though, I would like to own Citroen DS or Peugeot 406 Coupe.

I rented Renault a few times when I was in the UK and they seemed like well made cars. I dont see them wanting to come to NA anyway as the market is more brutal over here!! Suzuki effect???

I like the looks of it. If they sold Renaults here, offered it in AWD with a manual transmission, it got 30 MPG on the highway, and cost around $25K ... I'd consider it. :D

Two-tone is terrible. It looks like a DIYer fail.

Interior is setup exactly like an SX4, right down to the air vents and door cards.

Looks ok, just more of the same. Kind of like a micro Nissan Murano'ish look. The white roof is so Mini Cooper cliché...

Not sure if Kia's concept entry is considered a "crossover" or not (of it it will definitely get made or not), but it's an interesting direction.
