Hey guys, I'm thinking about my next set of tires since the stock bridgestones are crapped out after 40 000 km(about 25 000 miles?). was looking at some 225/55/16, same size as stock 205/60 and was wondering if anyone runs this size and could tell me if it is rubbing anywhere? I can get khumo ecsta spt for 4$ more than the ecsta lx in the stock size.

also, for whoever runs this size of tires, did you notice a big change in fuel milleage? I wouldn't want to switch to those and lose 2-3 mpg just for the sake of havin wider tires and more traction. I know gas milleage will drop from a bigger contact patch, but how much would it?

thanks for the advices

I am running 235/40/18 an my wheels have an offset of +38. At stock height there was no rubbing. When I lowered the car on Megan Coilovers the fronts would rub slightly under hard cornering or big bumps at speed. You will not have any rubbing with the 225/55/16 tire setup.

Here are some helpful resources to aid in selecting wheel/tire combos.
